If you are looking for training which is stimulating, challenging and brings about personal or oganisational development and change then I can provide it.
Training for an individual or an organisation is a significant investment in time, energy and resources. Training needs to be tailored and responsive to the needs of the client to ensure it is relevant and effective.
I also have significant experience of designing and delivering training packages, using my experience and knowledge to enhance their impact and ensure learning outcomes are realised.
My preparatory discussions with organisations also focusses on how they will enable the participant to practice and develop their skills on a daily basis - many offices are full of barely touched training manuals - nice for interior design but not necessarily improving work or productivity!
Following such a process described above Simon Arthur and I designed and delivered training courses for a Youth Offending Service initially: Modular Management Training for Senior and Middle Managers. Based on the success of that training we were then commissioned to design and deliver training on Pre-Sentence Report writing and Managing Risk. Our skills and experience enable us to combine a variety of approaches, based on up to date materials and evidence based research.
I worked with Prospect Consultancy co-designing and delivering training on Commissioning and Procurement for the Voluntary Sector. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
In June 2009 the MAPPA National Training Manual was launched. I designed and prepared this together with Suzanne Crouch of Blackthorn Consultancy.
Feedback from the the Ministry of Justice Public Protection Unit describes it as
"comprehensive, clear and informative".
We are currently working on some additional modules due in Autumn 2010.
